We had such a devastating blow at the end of March with the disappearance of Jeremy who has still not been found. So hard not to be able to have a single trace on him. People were amazing with spreading his description in the media and via Facebook. We have to hope that one day he will be found…there is a Help Find Jeremy page on Facebook dedicated to finding him.
Friday, Wolfie, Breeze and Puffin were rehomed. Star became a best friend to Topsy at the yard. Munchie’s been our rehab case and he’s kept us busy this year and is teaching us so much!
There was the essential haymaking and fundraising…and of course an epic amount of mucking out and hay net filling (especially when there were 11 ponies on the yard!).
We continued pushing for change on Bodmin based on the results of our research and have had some important meetings relating to this in order to get change for all the animals grazing up there. We also worked to ensure standards would be upheld at Hallworthy Horse Sale so that there was not a repeat of the issues seen at the 2016 sale.
Margaret’s had a year of parties with her 10th year volunteering and 4 parties for her 80th birthday! And also the challenge of recovering from a mini-stroke and a fall.
Sadly, Treacle the yard cat died towards the end of the year and then one of our supporters, Margaret Cruft.
We’ve finished on a high with managing to purchase our red light kit, which is just amazing! Faye’s busy with all her extra studying which is really going to benefit all the ponies once she’s got her extra qualifications.
Thank you everyone for all your help and support for P4P!
These are some of our favourite photos from 2017 (click on the photos to enlarge them)! Happy New Year everyone!
